I don't think so. I think only their handmade noodles, which are made with flour.
Not sure as I don't have any food allergies
Yes noodles are vegan. Youth can ask them to make without dairy as well for final dish
No. It's just a restaurant.

Satisfying hand pulled noodle dishes. A little heavy and maybe not "authentic" but hits the spot.
Food is great and Frank is such a caring and genuine person! The hand pulled noodles with shrimp are delicious and the string beans are so flavorful. Thank you Frank!- Hillary & John
I call in my orders for pick up, and the first time I did this, Frank ended the call with "see you then" and I wondered how long it would take. Well, I've never shown up and it wasn't already ready. Food is SO fast and tastes amazing!! Will continue to go here again and again! Thank you Frank!
I got the house special hand tossed noodle with shrimp and it was just ok. The sauce was not the best which made the dish not that great. And the only veggies were chopped up cabbage, celery, scallions and maybe something else!? I tried to eat it but ended up tossing it. My husband had the Kung Pao noodles with chicken and it was much better.
Service is quickly and friendly. I always try the grilled mackerel if it's on the menu and this did not disappoint. Tender, fatty, not overcooked. Crispy fried goodness. Noodles were soft with a nice bite. Not too much flavor, very easy to eat. Steamed dumplings were soft and freshly cooked. Ma Po tofu was not too spicy.
The signature noodle is great of cource and fried rice is also awesome.
I've been occasionally eating at Franks for I think 10 years now. What finally prompted me to write a review is Franks noodles was my Dads last meal before he died. I've always loved the food, but I just want to say thanks Frank, for bringing a smile to my Dads face one last time. We knew he only had hours left; I can always count on you for some delicious Kimchi and hands down the best shrimp noodles in town.
This place is a spectacular for the price and quality. The noodles are perfect and the service is quick. The Kimchi and little side dish of pickled something (it was so good I didn't stop eating to ask what it was but it looked like radish or jicama) was soooooooo to die for. Cheap is a great word for this place. Go here eat noodles and be happy.
The hand stretched noodles are excellent. They have a much lighter texture than machined noodles. Everything we tried was full of flavor and very fresh. Will definitely eat there again. The service was get fast, which is nice when your on your lunch hour.
Noodles are awesome, very unique. Don't be afraid of the spice, it's not that spicy.
Very tasty hand made noodles with a Korean/Chinese flair.. Worthy of a try.😸
I visited this place for the first time for a business lunch meeting and I was shocked at the taste of the food as well as the large portions of the plates. I work around the corner from Frank's Noodle House and probably drive by the place every other day but never visited the place. I had the beef and broccoli with the hand made noodles and it was amazing! I definitely recommend this place and looking forward to bringing my spouse.
Trippy Asian chow served in a house. It's a popular joint so expect a wait. Pork belly w handmade noodles. Not much pork. I'll get something else next time.
Solid lunch! Had stir-fried noodles with pork belly at a spice level of 1 (of 0-4). Very tasty and hearty, with meat and veggies; the free egg drop soup was a nice touch, too. Will try again next time I am in the neighborhood.
This is the best place for very good noodles. The environment is very cozy and warm. The service is fast and nice. It can get pretty busy around dinner time, so if you're planning to go for dinner it will take a little bit longer than usual to get your food. If you're looking for very high quality, authentic Chinese noodle dishes, this is the place to go.
First time here and it was amazing! We tried the pork belly and napa cabbage, as well as the beef homemade noodles. Service was great as well! We will definitely be back next time we're in Portland :)
I dream about the hand pulled noodles here! There is no where to compare to here because the food here is that awesome. I love the quirks of the restaurant, it’s an older house turned business with creaky floorboards and tennis balls on literally every foot of every chair. You can tell the staff is valued because I have had the same servers every time I’ve been there AND they are the warmest friendliest people. The food arrives at your table super fast so the perfect place for a work lunch. I have been here a couple times so far but I’m a lifelong customer!
One of the best places to get delicious noodles in Portland.
Saw a very good review for this restaurant and decided to give it a try. We ordered chicken breast stir fried noodles, with spiciness level 4 and the taste was below my expectation. It was not spicy at all and I could only taste the saltiness on my food. Another one we ordered was black bean sauce noodles and it tasted okay. However the texture of their handmade noodles was superb I loved it. Friendly staff. Great service.
This place lives up to the hype. Just don't expect a fancy, pretentious facade. This place is very homey and feels like a home cooked meal. The food comes out with a speedy delivery and full of flavor. The hand pulled noodles are the perfect amount of soft and chewy.
So delicious everything was very yummy. I loved the Kung Po chicken over hand pulled noodles. My husband had the hand pulled noodles stir fried with chicken. The noodles were the most delicious ones I have ever had
It was actually great. Love the noodles and shrimp fried rice
Not sure about the bad reviews, but I had a good experience overwall. Ordered for a pickup/takeout and they had the food ready within 10 minutes. Not sure if I got lucky but it was very fast service. The food tasted great and spice level could have been better, but I do like my food VERY spicey, so I can't fault them on that. The portions are comparable to the prices, so no complaints there. Overall, the quality of service/food is better than their pricing IMHO. Had a great/wonderful experience overall. Oh! And the owner (at least I think he was the owner) gave me a heads up about the bag ripping if I didn't carry it out right. I thought that was a great example of him caring about the customer. I recommend this business to my friends and family!
No no no no no flavor. Like another reviewer said, with all that color, how in the world do I still have to add salt?!The quality of the noodles is good. It has a nice bounce, al dente. Im just so disappointed this is one of the best PDX has to offer.
I picked up an order during COVID I saw on Diner's drive in's and dives, I am a huge fan. It definitely lived up to the hype. Even with traveling back to hotel everything was delicious. Staff was very friendly.
The interior of franks noodle house leaves much to be desired, BUT you’re not going there because it’s some immaculately decorated place. You’re going there for some amazing noodles. On my most recent visit I had the hand-pulled noodles w/ pork, dumplings, and green beans. It was all delicious. I cannot wait to go back for some more delicious food!
It was the best Noodles I've ever tried! And the best experience. I felt I really was in Asia. The taste transported me to other place. For an instance I feel I wasn't in Portland and I appreciate that. Frank is so nicely and he treats people like in home. If you are in Portland and don't visit this place you are losing a good time food!
The noodles here are to die for! The food is amazing, the restaurant is small as is the menu and the service could use some improvement but it's all worth it for the noodles!
Delicious food and absolutely wonderful staff. Everything came out super quick and then we made it disappear super quick! 🤣 If you're looking for the best fresh-made noodles then look no further.
Really good hand-pulled noodles. Extremely basic and awesome. Get the dumplings! Fifty extra points for being across the street from Oyatsupan Bakery.
Absolutely Delicious! Really large portions for the price. Service is friendly. Pretty casual inside. We went on a Thursday evening and it wasn't busy at all.
Good place for hand made noodles and excellent Tofu. Great service. Very reasonable prices.
Brilliant fix if you're craving homemade Chinese noodles and other authentic foods. Needed lunch before heading out to PDX and made the excellent decision to go here - it's quite accessible by public transit and a short walk, with food that was absolutely worth it. Had a house special noodle dish and fell in love. Will be back again in the future!
Frank’s Noodle House offers crave-worthy hand-pulled noodles. If you consider yourself a person who enjoys spicy food, get #4 spice level. And if not enough, ask for some chili oil to dab on top. Dumplings are great too. These dishes come out very fast. Pricing is very fair.

Good and fresh as usual. Pretty normal haunt for me. I'd like it if they gave another napkin. It's never around when needed and Frank, two napkins wont break the bank.
I know everyone seems to really love this place, but it was just a massive let down. Everything felt sloppy, cheap, and rushed. The noodles are inconsistent and doughy. The broth felt like it was made that day just from vegetables. It had no flavor along with the beef. The beef was water logged... even the chili sauce? Like wheres the chili oil?The staff were nice, but that's kind of it.
Frank's noodles are the best! Stumbled upon this gem on a trip to Portland about 6 months ago and had to make a special stop for take out pandemic noodles when moving out of the PNW. These handmade noodles are nothing short of exceptional. Perfect mix of protein, vegetables, and spices that make the noodles so flavorful. Also affordable and the staff is so friendly. Next time I'm within 100 miles I will be back!!
In Portland for Mumford and sons concert and after a day of shopping wanted to get dinner close to the show. Got to Frank's a little after 5 pm. Seated right away by Frank. Order drinks and appetizers. Both came out in less than 3 minutes. Frank is great friendly and personable.. We were able to order our daughters plain noodles with chicken. Basically not spicy and no veggies. Entrees came out about 5 minutes after ordering. Food was hot and flavorful. I had the noodles with pork belly with medium spice. It was just right. Place was clean and by the time we left 45 minutes later the place was packed and they were taking names for a wait list. Popular place. Also, for the table they give you a side of kimchee. Man that is some of the best I have had. Plus, we did not realize but the place was on Diners, Drive ins and Dives. Check it out as you won't be disappointed.
We got food to go from Frank's, and it was very good. We split among 2 adults and a toddler fried rice and noodles with tofu. Very good; wish we would have been able to eat there, but this was a more toddler-friendly solution that day. Would like to visit in the future.
The BEST noods I've ever had. Consistently delicious and fresh. Also, good kimchi.
Tried the dumplings, spring rolls, cashew chicken, pork belly noodles and chicken noodles. Service was excellent. Food was great.
We ordered the stirfry handpulled noodles one with beef and one with tofu. Yes, the noodles were chewy and soft but it was also doughy. What really bummed us was the taste...we were expecting an explosion of flavor by the way it looked but no. It was spicy which we liked but utterly lacking flavor. Service was fast though.
Cozy place and atmosphere, the food is tasty and fresh and the prices are decent.
I loved my order of noodles with beef. Loved the flavor with a little bit of heat. I would love to come back when everyone can dine in!
This place is awesome!!! The noodles we ordered were delicious also fast, the servers were friendly as well. Definitely one of the best noodles house in Portland.
Visited after watching Diners, Drive Ins and Dives. Parked in front of a house, and wwalked in the front door. Fortunate to be seated by management immediatly. A line formed within minutes of our arrival. Attentive friendly service. the menu varied, and dishes served hot and steaming. Very flavorful. Everything was just as represented on TV. You will return again...
Interesting experience. I have never had Kung Pao Chicken with noodles before. The noodles were a little too thick for me, but that is a preference. The food was good. For me, medium heat was mild. I enjoyed the pickled radish pre-dish!
To be greeted by the owner who hand pulled your noodles and has for years is special. The noodles are so yummy and filling! An immediate favorite for me n my sweetie!
We found Franks Noodle House after being featured on Diners, Drive-In’s and Dives. We were visiting Portland from Tampa. The hand pulled noodles were everything we were hoping for. FANTASTIC!! We also had an opportunity to meet Frank, what a nice man. We will definitely return on our next visit.
